Welcome reduction of 40% in farm fatalities in 2007

FEWER people died in farm accidents in 2007.

A drop of 40% is to be welcomed as a hopeful indicator that the message of safety on Irish farms is beginning to be heard and heeded.

Still, 11 families were left with an empty place at the table this Christmas, as they mourned the loss of family members in farm accidents in 2007.
