174 acres of top pasture

THE house, and seven acres of land, attached to this farm at Lisduane, Kilmallock, have been already sold off, so the present market offering is a land sale of 174 acres of top-class pasture, according to selling agent, John Flynn, of Charleville.

Buyers money in their pockets from a land sale for roads or development will be delighted with this farm, especially as it comes with full planning permission for a modern yard — and there are grants available.

Laid out in one block and reseeded recently, the land has mains fencing throughout, has a central farm roadway, and is slightly undulating in parts, says Flynn.

The farm has been used for drystock for a long time, he says, and the planning for the yard includes a slatted shed with a 230-head capacity and a large slurry tank.

In 16 large paddocks, the Lisduane farm is also very accessible and is four miles from Bruree, seven miles from Kilmallock, and a short skip to Limerick, on one side, and Charleville, on the other.

The guide price for the October 4 public auction is €2.5m, or a reasonable €14,367 per acre.

That, of course, doesn’t include the cost of a house, but a nice little five-bed would certainly match the rolling plains of this Kilmallock property.
