Champions show their class at national shows

Although the Tullamore Show and AIB National Livestock Show was cancelled due to bad weather, many other national finals were contested by the qualifiers from shows held across the country throughout the summer.

Included was the Redmills All Ireland Poultry Championship, the results of which were due to be announced at Tullamore. The white Cochin hens owned by the Boylan family of Haylands, Blessington, Co Wicklow, were the winners.
