‘Model farm’ withdrawn at €2.65m
Two bidders from Limerick and one from Kerry, both farmers, took the property up to €2.4 million.
At that stage, one dropped out, and bidding went to €2.65 million, at which stage the property was withdrawn from auction.
The auctioneer is now in further negotiations, and the property is being sold by private treaty.
The Dromin farm produced close to €250,000 of milk last year, according to Mr Stack, who says it is a turnkey enterprise for any farmer.
The Golden Vale farm has a half-mile of road frontage, is laid out in one block, and has three residential properties.
It also has a state of the art farmyard, and a quota of 154,000 gallons.
