Cross-compliance conclusions in June is EU target

THE EU Council of Agriculture Ministers aims to agree conclusions on the cross-compliance system for farmers in June.

Key issues for discussion have been identified — including how to how to deal with minor cases of non-compliance, and the Good Agricultural and Environmental Condition requirements for farmers.

Ministers will also consider if participation in farm advisory systems and/or quality certification schemes should be taken into account in cross-compliance risk analysis.
