Holding on edge of Charleville

LAND sales are very slow this spring, with anything over 200 acres as rare as hens’ teeth, and only a slow trickle of smaller parcels — in what should be a booming sales period.

Holding on edge of Charleville

However, GVM in Kilmallock are having a busy time, with another average sized sale added to their list this week.

Agent Phil Purcell is selling an outlying farm on the boundary of Charleville town in North Cork, and expects to make more than €15,000 per acre in this private treaty sale.

The land is located at Broghill, and is a 74.5 acre holding laid out in seven fields and in one block.

Road frontage is limited, however, so the property wouldn’t have building development potential, but is described as being fine, Golden Vale land. Level, well-fenced and watered, it’s laid out in pasture and would suit as an add-on to an existing farm.
