Carla's recipe corner
Fish chowder is a lovely thick soup, healthy and nourishing, and filling enough for an all-in-one lunch or supper dish.
You need: One and a half lb/ 700g white fish such as cod, hake, haddock, or pollock; 1 pint/600ml lightly salted water, 1 lb/450g potatoes, 4 streaky rashers (optional but nice), 2 medium onions,1 or 2 cloves garlic (optional), a little Flora or olive oil, salt and fresh ground black pepper,1 pint milk and chopped parsley for garnish (Serves 6).
