Parlon calls on Progressive Democrats to focus on regions

TOM PARLON has called on the Progressive Democrats to focus on policies for the regions outside of Dublin.

At the party’s national conference, he said decentralisation and improvement of infrastructure and broadband must continue. He said it is vital the Progressive Democrats in government do all they can to ensure that vital services such as rural post offices and garda stations remain part and parcel of our communities.

Mr Parlon highlighted the contribution of agriculture, predicting €1.5 billion in economic activity from the Farm Waste Management Scheme alone, if each farmer spends €50,000.
