Be prepared for calving

OVER the next three months, almost all-spring calving cows will calve down. Being prepared for this busy time is critical for a successful calving season.

The calving shed should be the first focus of your attention.

Remove any cattle from the calving area. It is important to prevent contact between older cattle and young calves in order to prevent disease spread.
