Herdowners sign up for new breeding information service
There was strong interest at last week’s Ploughing Championships in the service, which offers farmers EBI reports, breeding charts, fertility reports, calving reports and personalised recording notebooks.
The service costs €60 (including VAT) per herd per year for herdowners receiving information electronically, and €120 by post.
According to ICBF, herdowners are attracted by features such as the EBI Report, Customised Notebook and availability of information on the ICBF website for clients. Most users have opted for the electronic version.
