Herdowners sign up for new breeding information service

MORE than 360 herdowners have signed up for the Irish Cattle Breeding Federation’s HerdPlus breeding information service, after just two weeks.

There was strong interest at last week’s Ploughing Championships in the service, which offers farmers EBI reports, breeding charts, fertility reports, calving reports and personalised recording notebooks.

The service costs €60 (including VAT) per herd per year for herdowners receiving information electronically, and €120 by post.
