West Cork horses on a championship roll

WEST CORK breeder and exhibitor Denis Dullea, Killountain, Bandon, made his long journey to the Roscommon Show worthwhile last weekend.

West Cork horses on a championship roll

Dullea won the All Ireland Irish Draught Yearling Filly Championship with his impressive chestnut, Miss Ginger by Crannagh Hero. The filly was bred by Eddie Murphy of Charlestown, Co Mayo, who took the reserve championship with his own exhibitor-bred horse, Molly Daisy by Crannagh Hero, as well as the third prize with yet another exhibitor-bred horse.

Dullea’s success was the latest in a series of top awards won by West Cork breeders and exhibitors at shows right across the country this season.
