LAMB prices improved by up to 8 cent/kg (3p/lb) at the factories this week in a recovery of the trade which has come as a welcome change for producers.

The factories were all in unison with the trade opening on Monday at a base prices of 350 cent/kg (125p/lb) across the country, with prices holding unchanged for Tuesday’s kill.

The improvement has been helped by tighter supplies and a stronger trade for Irish lamb in France over recent days.
