Pigs average 145c/kg in Ireland, 157c in EU-25

PIG prices are unchanged at 148 to 152 cent/kg this week, according to IFA. Pig supplies were unchanged last week, but are down 16,400 for the year to date.

IFA says declining production in the UK has helped to boost Danish pig prices to a four year high.

Here, export plants continue to quote 148 cent to 152 cent flat rate, with 6c extra for welfare pigs.
