Talented Galway, Meath clubs win

THE all-singing, all-dancing, fun loving members of the Abbeyknockmoy, Co Galway and Kilcloon, Co Meath clubs came out on top in the National Talent Competition in the Helix Theatre in Dublin last weekend.

The Co Galway club supplied the best disco dancers (runners up: Dundalk Institute of Technology, Co Louth); and set dancers (runners up: Freemount, Co Cork).

Kilcloon’s winners were solo singer Clara Monaghan (runner-up Tadgh Maher, Shinrone, Co Offaly) and comedians Owen Burke and Tom Murphy (runner-up Padraig O’Brien and Raymond Carroll, Blackwater, Co Wexford).
