Also this month, three members attended a craft day in Gaggin Hall.

November: Members attended the Cork Federation Cultural Evening and took part in the entertainment that evening.

In all, it was a great year of work and socialising.

The officers for the coming year are: president, Maura Holland, secretary, Eleanor Moloney and treasurer Ann Finn.

A glowing tribute was paid to Nan Walsh who retired as secretary after three years in office.

The guild will resume meetings in September.
