Cork firm wins forestry award
Treemetrics will share the €50,000 Schweighofer Prize with its German research partner, the University of Freiburg's Institute of Forest Growth.
The award is handed out every two years for innovation in forestry, wood technology, timber products and marketing and is regarded as the leading award in the European timber industry.
The technology developed by TreeMetrics is centred around the use of lasers and provides timber growers with information on the quality and value of forest crops.
