Last call from Dillon

IFA President John Dillon made a final call on Tuesday on any farmers who haven't made their SPS application to do so immediately.

Last call from Dillon

He said, "If there are circumstances or major problems which have prevented or delayed an application to date, immediate contact should be made with the Department of Agriculture, IFA or Teagasc and an application should be lodged immediately."

For each day missed after last Monday's deadline, farmers suffer a cumulative late penalty cut of 4% per working day of their single payment for 2005, unless in recognised cases of Force Majeure or exceptional circumstances.
