Strong trade at mart sales

Marts: Beef and store animals showed further gains at the mart sales yesterday with light stores gaining up to €50/head and an excellent trade for good heifers.

Up to €480 over €/kg was paid for quality heavy beef bullocks and up to €390 over for beef heifers at Ennis Mart and the quality light stores showed an improvement of up to €50/head at Kilkenny where up to €445 over was paid for beef bullocks.

Bandon Mart had a steady trade at unchanged prices and at Blessington Mart bullocks and heifers were up €15/head.
