Value on the edge of town

FARMYARDS are being scooped up on city outskirts by purchasers, to overcome house planning difficulties.

Value on the edge of town

A case in point is Moneyflugh, Inniscarra, Co Cork, which was at €300,000 last week, and this week is likely to sell for more than €420,000, according to selling agent, Dan Howard of Dooley and Howard.

The farmhouse and yard could face a demolition and rebuild, which makes this a strong price for a site. Planning guidelines or not, restrictions still push up property prices.
