Industrialists would be rubbing their hands at the prospect, but there was a very mixed reaction when this assessment of the Irish dairy industry was published last week in the Prospectus-Promar International consultancy study.

Indeed, one spokesman for the farmers who largely control the industry said the report cost more than €350,000 and delivered nothing.
