INSPECTORS from the Competition Authority yesterday swooped on the IFA head office in Dublin.

It was part of a probe arising from recent action by farmers at Drogheda Port, which prevented a shipment of imported wheat from being unloaded.

The inspectors arrived unannounced at the IFA’s headquarters at Bluebell and sought access to the computer files of association deputy president Ruaidhrí Deasy.
