Dairygold confirms grain price

DAIRYGOLD has confirmed its final 2004 grain price following what it described as a very favourable harvest with most farmers recording very good yields across all varieties.

Base prices (exclusive of VAT) @ 20% moisture are feeding barley €97/tonne (€101.17/tonne inclusive of VAT), feed wheat €98/tonne (€102.21 tonne inclusive of VAT), malting barley €112/tonne (€116.82/tonne inclusive of VAT), oats €90/tonne at 52 KPH (€93.87/tonne inclusive of VAT).

Dairygold said payments for the 2004 harvest would be completed by October 22. Final prices had been set following the payment of an 'on-account' grain price at the start of the harvest, and a subsequent review of the national and international grain markets.
