PIG prices were unchanged this week at the larger slaughter plants, according to IFA.

Prices ranged from 136 cent to 144 cent/kg. Demand from Northern Ireland remained steady, with forward prices of €1.37/kg on offer from October to March.

The Dawn and Galtee export plants quoted 140 cent to 143 cent/kg net on a flat rate basis, with 136 to 142 cent on offer at Glanbia. Welfare pigs averaged €1.45 to €1.48/kg.
