ONE of the world’s best organised veterinary services is on hand in Israel.

Hahakalit was established in 1919 by Israel’s enthusiastic pioneer farmers to combine a mutual insurance policy with comprehensive veterinary medicine.

They provided the vital early care for valuable cattle imported into a hot land burdened with disease.
