Neighbouring farm sales total €3m

A BULLISH €51,000 per acre was paid for a farm at private auction last week.

Presiding over proceedings in the Oriel House Hotel in Ballincollig, auctioneer John Hodnett sold a 29-acre farm at Windsor, Waterfall in Co Cork for €1.5 million.

A young couple bought the property, and it’s likely they are going the hobby farming route - further proof, if needed, of the buying power of the Celtic Tiger cubs.
