Quiz winners feted at Croke Park
This year’s final was contested by 26 ICA Federation winning teams. The quiz was divided into five sections, General Knowledge, Arts and Entertainment, Women, Healthy Eating and a Picture round. Each section comprised of 20 questions.
This year’s winners were Dublin Federation and in second place were Wicklow Federation.
Glanworth did Cork Federation proud, coming in third place. Members of the Glanworth team were : Margaret Reynolds, Lana O’Keeffe, Mary Angela O’Keeffe and Kathleen Reynolds.
RTÉ presenter and artist, Don Conroy, presented the 78 finalists, who ranged in age from five to 12 years, with special certificates.
“Our overall aim is to promote creativity and learning, whilst ensuring the growth of healthy minds and bodies,” Weetabix Marketing Manager, Terry Tierney said.
ICA president Breda Raggett said: “The standard of entries from children all over the country was outstanding”.
All finalists received a certificate and a Ready Brek gift pack. The national winners each won a special certificate and prizes.
