Grenagh celebrates 38 great years

THERE was a huge turnout in Blarney Park Hotel on December 8 to join in the celebrations with Grenagh Guild to mark their 38th anniversary.

Guest of honour on the night was Ann Murray, national president ICA. Other guests were Jackie Slattery, Munster vice president and Jane Law, Clare Federation president. There was no shortage of ceol agus craic or indeed glitz and glam. One participant in particular, who labelled herself “Granny Glitter,” got the prize for the most outlandish outfit.

As well as all the fun, our Grenagh friends also have a serious side. They applied to the Scally Foundation for a grant and with it, bought a wheelchair for use in An Grianán. This was presented, in the presence of David Scally, to The national president.
