IFA issue plea to hill farmers

IFA has urged farmers in hill areas to join REPS, after receiving commitments from Agriculture Minister Mary Coughlan to address REPS problems in commonages and SAC areas, resulting from the introduction of the Single Farm Payment.

IFA Hill Farming Committee Chairman Michael Comiskey said he was confident that the threat to the €242 per ha REPS/SMA payment will be addressed.
