The profitable production of quality beef will be the theme of a Teagasc national beef open day at Grange Research Centre, Dunsany, Co Meath on September 15.

The day will provide beef farmers with the best information on production technology, economics and on changes in EU beef policy which come into effect in January 2005.

Eddie O'Riordan, head of Grange, said all beef farmers, irrespective of their system of production, will find something of interest and of benefit on the day.
