COFORD back Moorepark research

Research at Moorepark into using woodchip to construct cattle out wintering pads is being supported by COFORD, the National Council for Forest Research and Development.

Dr Padraig French of Teagasc will lead the two and a half years investigation into over-wintering animals outdoors on beds of timber residues, laid over an artificially drained surface, to allow easy control of solid and liquid wastes during confinement.
