FIVE candidates are looking for support in provincial elections, as voting kicks off today in the IFA presidential, deputy-presidential and vice-presidential elections.

Three candidates are running for Munster Vice-President - Flor McCarthy (former Chairman, Kerry IFA); Gerard O’Connell (Chairman, Cork Central IFA); and Sean O’Leary (Chairman, Cork North IFA). Two candidates seek the Connacht Vice-Presidency - Michael Biggins (Chairman, Mayo IFA), and Michael Silke (Chairman, Galway IFA).

The nominees for the other provincial vice-presidencies are unopposed - Joe Brady in Ulster-North Leinster, and J J Fitzgerald in South Leinster.
