Faculty renamed

Ireland’s only Faculty of Agriculture has been re-named.
Faculty renamed

As the Faculty of Agri-Food and the Environment at University College Dublin enters its second century of education, leadership and research, Professor Maurice Boland said the new name reflects where graduates are and increasingly will be employed, along the entire length of the food chain.

The environmental impact of food production, other forms of land use, and development of rural communities are also key issues now, added the Dean of the Faculty, which accepts about 170 first year students each year into its nine degree programmes.
