Majorque grabs the plaudits at the Limousin National Championships

She also featured in the best "three by the same exhibitor", and Mr McCarrick also took the yearling heifer rosette.

Another Meath breeder, William Smith, showed the champion male, Neron (also adjudged the top bull of the show), by Jersey out of Horlogere. The best junior cow and weanling heifer, and pair by the same exhibitor also came from the Smith herd.Both top prizewinners were French bred; the "best three" sire of the show was Ideal 23.

Other breeders prominent in the Championships were Pat Phelan best yearling bull and two year old heifer; and Donal Moloney , showing best yearling bull and senior heifer.
