Milk distribution transfer will cut Kinsale Road jobs by 30

GLANBIA has confirmed it will transfer its Kinsale Road, Cork CMP fresh milk distribution operation to two smaller depots at the end of this month, with the loss of 30 jobs.

When Glanbia purchased the CMP brand and sales and distribution assets from Dairygold Co-op for €10m 12 months ago, it cut 38 of the 96 jobs at the Kinsale Road depot, which was short term leased from Dairygold.

One hundred and thirty liquid milk suppliers continue to supply the 6.15 million gallon CMP liquid milk pool to Dairygold Co-op, which sells it on to Glanbia.
