Pledge on milk plant
It said it is not re-locating its milk operations at Oranmore to Nenagh following the sale of the former plant which is currently on the market.
Chief executive Jim Murphy said the society will be transferring the Oranmore operations to Kilconnell as was always planned.
He said Arrabawn Co-op has always intended to develop the Kilconnell operation.
Mr Murphy re-assured the society's shareholders and milk suppliers in the mid-west region that the work will commence early next year.
When completed Kilconnell will be the central liquid milk processing centre for the co-op.
Arrabawn had a difficult 2002, recording a pre-tax loss of €2.17 million. Turnover fall by €9.44m to €119.8m due mainly to difficulties in dairy markets.
The co-op expects to be back in profit in the current year as the benefits of rationalisation flow.
