Eivers announced as CEO of NCBC

The Board of the National Cattle Breeding Centre has announced the appointment of Bernard Eivers, a native of Ballivor, Co Meath, as chief executive officer.

A qualified veterinary surgeon, for the past ten years he has been technical director of Progressive Genetics Ireland Ltd.

The NCBC was established last month as a result of the merger of the Munster Cattle Breeding Society and Progressive Genetics Ireland Ltd. It is based at Enfield, Co Meath, where the bulls will be housed.
