Farmers can cut herd size, increase output

DAIRY farmers will be able to cut herd size by 10% or more while producing milk right up to quota limit and the opportunity to make more profit with a better quality of life.
Farmers can cut herd size, increase output

This is achievable through a breakthrough in dairy cow nutrition - allowing higher yields without the normally associated herd health and fertility issues. The key is to prepare the cow for the whole lactation through a radical revision of current nutritional practices. "Come to the sale to hear further information on how this could apply to farms in the south", remarks Alan Heaney, Keenan Ireland Sales Manager.

"Keenan have introduced Rumans-Rentals, an easy entry nutrition-based finance scheme, where the customer can access Keenan's Rumans nutrition programme and a Keenan mixer-wagon - on a one year rental basis, starting at €3,000. This year there are some exciting new developments, we have a greater selection of machines, the New Rumans-Rentals will also be available for the first time. We will also be demonstrating the New Keenan Self Drive and Keenan Nutrition will be on hand to answer any nutritional requests" remarks John McCarthy, McCarthy Agri-sales.
