New option to register calves online

A NEW facility to register calf births online is now available to farmers through the Department of Agriculture and Food website.

Minister Mary Coughlan, announcing the move, said this facility would augment the current procedures for registering calf births by providing farmers with the added option of completing applications over the Internet.

She said she was confident the new calf birth registration facility would be widely used and would encourage greater take-up of electronic facilities in transactions with the Department.
