Companies target British market

IRISH seafood companies, exhibiting for the first time at the Speciality and Fine Food Fair which began in London yesterday, are set to target the €1.6 billion British market.

This was revealed as the companies presented a range of speciality seafood at the exhibition in Olympia under the banner of Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM) and the Irish Sea Fisheries Board.

BIM chief executive Pat Keogh said the event is a great opportunity to showcase the breadth of speciality seafood from Ireland and to introduce the Quality Seafood (QS) symbol to the British retail market.
