Wexford: A team from Boherlahan-Dualla Macra in south Tipperary won the 2004 Macra na Feirme national debating competition in Wexford Town.
Boherlahan-Dualla wins Macra debate

The winning team of Liam O’Maoldhomhaigh, Maressa Sheehan, Sherine Prendergast and Una Ní Maoldhomhaigh defeated a team from Carrignavar, Co Cork, in the final round and have now secured a place on the Macra na Feirme prizewinners’ trip to Amsterdam later this year as part of their prize.

Macra president Thomas Honner and PJ D’Arcy of sponsors Wexford Farmers Co-op paid tribute to the teams and to Una Ní Maoldhomhaigh from Boherlahan who also won the Best Speaker award.
