Lamb prices ease all round due to weakness in export trade

On Monday, factory quotes were reduced by 6 cents/kg (2p/lb) from a week earlier, continuing the trend of weakening prices through last week, as Britain and France returned lower prices.

Supplies are strong, which has made it easier for processors to cut prices. Base prices on offer on Monday and Tuesday were uniform, with factories offering 330 cents/kg (118p/lb), and U grade bonuses bringing the price to 336 cents/kg (120p/lb).
