Honner a model success

WATERFORD Macra members recently took to the catwalk for their Monster Fashion Show, and it was an outstanding success, boosted by national president, Thomas Honner, who proved a great hit as a model with everyone who attended.

Money is still rolling in and the organisers are counting the euros they raised for the Friends of the Maternity Unit, Waterford's designated counselling room for recently bereaved parents.

Waterford Macra were helped by sponsorship from Eamon Lonergan of Knockanore Cheese; Matt Houlihan of Print Master, Lismore; Martina Bannon of The Wild Orchid, Dungarvan; and to Dirk Baumann. Thanks go also to the staff of The Park Hotel, and to the boutiques who participated Signet, Dungarvan; Mary FM Fashions, Lismore; Ni-Craith, Dungarvan; Irene's, Clonmel; Unique Gents, Dungarvan; Minor Matters; and the wonderful creations of Mary Hammond, Kilgobnet.

Models as young as three years (and their parents), and Macra models, all gave generously of their precious time, and those who donated raffle spot prizes and everyone who helped out all contributed to this great Waterford success.
