Tractorcade heads for Limerick Show

The IFA tractorcade is back on the road - not to highlight an income crisis, but as part of next weekend’s Limerick Agricultural Show.
Tractorcade heads for Limerick Show

Farmers are assembling 50 tractors which will travel on Sunday - the second day of the show - from Annacotty, five miles from Limerick on the N7, and will proceed through the city to the Greenmount showgrounds at Limerick Racecourse, Patrickswell.

The machines will represent 50 years of IFA in Limerick, illustrating the progress of agricultural mechanisation.

The seven mile tractorcade is intended as a celebration of IFA’s half a century of farmer organisation, and every effort will be made to minimise disruption to other road users.

Vintage machinery associations are being enlisted to provide many of the older machines, and Limerick IFA expects a good turnout.
