Champ from Carrigart to Cappamore

DONEGAL has Killybegs for the fish and Carrigart and Raphoe for the beef.

Gerald Gallagher, Carrigart, brought his two-year-old Charolais bullock 250 miles south to win the €2,500 GVM All-Ireland commercial championship at last Wednesday’s Cappamore Show in Co Limerick, and the reserve champion was exhibited by Garvin Milligan, Raphoe.

Sam Coleman, Ballymena, who judged the final, said both were outstanding, and the general standard as high as he’d seen when he judged at the Royal Show in England this year.
