New APHA director takes over

Ireland: The new director of the Animal and Plant Health Association (APHA), the representative body for manufacturers and sole distributors of animal health and plant health products in Ireland, took up his position yesterday.
New APHA director takes over

Brendan Barnes, who is president of the Irish Grassland Association (IGA) and past president of the International Fertiliser Society (IFS), takes over from Declan O’Brien, who has been appointed managing director of IFAH Europe.

Mr Barnes has worked in the agricultural sector for over 20 years with both ICI and Irish Fertiliser Industries in sales, marketing and advisory positions in Ireland and Europe.
