Derivatives in the forecast

WEATHER derivatives trading, a huge financial market in the US, is on the way in Europe.

The first step, assembling reliable weather data, is being carried out by a group of financial services companies who will offer weather derivatives trading in Germany.

Munich-based Citiworks last month hosted a workshop for a pool of would-be, and existing traders, of weather derivatives.
