Pauline says exercise is for all ages

ON Wednesday, March 24, a number of East Cork guilds got together for a night of ‘Leisure Activity’ with Pauline Hayes, Cork Federation ICA Sports Officer.

The event was organised by East Cork Information Officers Rosalie Dunne and Mairead O'Carroll. Almost 50 guild members from Ladysbridge, Shanagarry, Ballymacoda, Whitegate, Midleton, Inch/Killeagh, Leamlara and Watergrasshill, including East Cork Vice-President Irene Appelbe, got together and some friends also joined in. The night was a great success and everyone enjoyed themselves.

Pauline spoke about leisure activities and exercise for all ages, and encouraged us to walk, swim, play golf, garden whatever fitted into our lives, even doing the housework more energetically counts so get busy with that hoover and the lawnmower.
