A POLITICALLY incorrect slip-up may have landed IFA Deputy President Ruardhi Deasy, and Munster Vice-president Donal Kelly in trouble with the Association in Limerick.

They have been invited by Limerick members to respond to allegations that they were involved in organising a meeting at a hotel not affiliated to Féile Bia, the Bord Bia national promotion scheme supporting Irish food.

National Livestock Committee member Eddie Scanlan, who raised the matter at a Limerick IFA meeting, said it was "disgraceful" and "not good enough to have a policy, and senior officers in the organisation flouting it".
