Partial payments CAP rejected

MEMBER states partially paying for EU farmer payments, as a way to ease pressure on the EU’s budget, has been rejected by EU Agriculture Commissioner Mariann Fischer Boel.

She said in Brussels last week that one of her goals is to see overall agriculture spending cut.

But she was adamant that the Common Agriculture Policy stay intact, and rejected “co-financing.”
