Walsh announces €4.4m for WFP

A €4.4 million donation to the UN World Food Programme (WFP) was announced yesterday by Agriculture and Food Minister Joe Walsh.

The donation was made during a visit to Ireland of WFP executive director James Morris.

Minister Walsh said Ireland values the WFP’s work, which last year provided food aid to €72m people in 82 countries.
